HISTORY
CAMP 2008 at the History Camp 2008 provided school children entering 4th grade through high school the opportunity to experience what life was like in Stratford during the 1700’s. It portrayed home life during colonial days with activities of butter making, candle dipping, weaving, wood working, herb gardening, and school work with quill pens. Additionally, the activities were supplemented with stories of prominent colonial Stratford citizens and actual events of the time as told by camp councellors. The campers were trained to conduct tours of the Judson House, dressed in colonial attire, to family members on the last day of Camp. The 2008 Campers thus joined the corp of past Campers as members of the Junior Historical Society. JULY 7 – 11 Pictorial Review
